Wanda Jean Boyd Barrett, 63, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at her residence. She was born June 11, 1955 in Red Bay, AL to Theodore Hopkins Boyd, Sr. and Irene Stacy Boyd. She worked as a nurse’s aid and attended Fairview Holy Church of Christ, Belmont, MS.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, September 4, 3 p.m. at Fairview Holy Church of Christ, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are one son – Joshua Scott (Gina) Belmont, MS; three grandchildren – Kayleigh Shae Scott, Alyssa Leonard and Johnny Alexander “Alex” Scott; one step-granddaughter – Danika Jones; two brothers – Hollis Boyd and T.H. Boyd; one sister – Lovie June Rouse and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Jason Scott, her parents and several brothers.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 1-3 p.m. at Fairview Holy Church of Christ.
