Mrs. Sara Smith Green, 88, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away Sunday evening, August 26, 2018 in Huntsville Alabama.

Mrs. Green was born in Clay County, Alabama to Lee Broughton Smith, Sr. and Eura Elizabeth Ingram Smith.

Mrs. Green found many areas she enjoyed participating in over the years. She was a member of the Lily Flagg Ladies Club, she enjoyed bowling and she collected cookbooks. She absolutely loved to travel. In her travels she visited Ireland, Egypt and Scotland, she also visited Israel where she got the opportunity to remove her shoes and dip her feet in the Dead Sea. She was an avid reader, a dedicated fan of both the Atlanta Braves Baseball team and Alabama Crimson Tide Football team. She was an accomplished and talented quilter. The one thing she truly enjoyed the most was working in her church. She had been on the Church Hospitality Committee for numerous years and had worked as a teacher in the nursery for probably as long. It was no secret that she loved taking care of the babies.

Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Broughton Smith, Sr. and Eura Elizabeth Ingram Smith, brothers Lee Broughton Smith, Jr. and Edward Clark Smith, granddaughter Amber Vibbert and great-grand son Christopher Ryan Webb.
