Mr. William Darrell Walling, age 60, of Spencer, passed away August 24, 2018, unexpectedly. He was born on October 8, 1957 to William Walling who preceded him in death and Betty Forsythe Walling.
He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Spencer Masonic Lodge. He was retired from Accument Global after 30+ years of service.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah Walling; daughter Tabitha (Preston) Denney; brothers, Ricky (Lisa) Walling and Jeffery (Darlene) Walling; grandchildren, BreeAnn and Blake Denney of whom he was very proud; mother-in-law, Barbara Shockley; brother-in-law, Anthony Shockley; sister-in-law, Tiny Plemons; several nieces and nephews and many other friends and relatives also survive.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Charity DeAnn; and his grandparents, Elbert and Evelyn Forsythe, and Oscar and Ola Walling.
The Funeral Service will be Monday, August 27, 2018, in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Wayne Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at the Crain Hill Cemetery. There will be a period of visitation with the family Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2 until 9 PM and again Monday from, 8 until time of service.
