Dorothy Dean Spivey – Obituary

Dorothy Dean Spivey of Pulaski passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018. She was born in Pulaski on May 31, 1934 and was 84 years of age.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a member of Wales Baptist Church and retired from Frito Lay. She never met a stranger, had a gift of gab, and was an avid Alabama football fan. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 26th from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Funeral Service takes place on Monday, August 27th at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Burial follows in Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to Emily Walker Scholarship Fund at Martin Methodist College, 433 West Madison Street, Pulaski, TN. 38478
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Spivey, parents, Owen “Buck” and Tennie Freemon Roberts, granddaughter, Emily Walker, Brother, Randy Roberts and a sister Jo Warren.
She is survived by her,
Son, Steve (Karen) Spivey of Pulaski
Daughter, Sheila (Steve) Walker of Pulaski
Daughter, Paula (Tommy) Gatlin of Minor Hill
Grandchildren, Kacey Cardin of New York, T. (Megan) Spivey of Pulaski, Sara Stewart of Pulaski
One great-grandchild, Jayda Daly
Sisters, Faye Childress and Joyce Beets both of Pulaski
Brother, Jimmy Roberts of Columbia
Several nephews, nieces, and friends also survive.
