Joan was a faithful member of Calvary Tabernacle. She was always willing to serve the Lord and others in any way she could. She was an ideal saint and an example for all to follow. She humbly and faithfully served the Lord in prayer, singing, witnessing, teaching, and encouraging. Her love for teaching children was evident in the fact that she taught Sunday school consistently for more than 30 years. Generations have been taught the truth of God’s Word by Sister Joan.

After living many years as a single adult, Joan was blessed with a family. For the last 18 years, she has been a faithful, loving wife and mother to her husband, Jason Givens and daughters, Megan Smith and Courtney Givens. She is also survived by her father and stepmother, Jerry Price Sr. and Eleanor; brother, Rick LaFollette of Booker, Texas; sister, Rosie Wolfe of Chicago; stepsister, Peggy Villagomez of Guam; granddaughters, Cloee Smith and Addison Smith; nephews, Edward Price of Key Largo, Florida and Nathaniel Burcham of Russellville; nieces, Deanna Burcham and McKenzie Price of Moulton; and sister-in-love, Tanama Price of Moulton.
