Raymond Hugh Purnell

Hugh Purnell died Tuesday morning at United Methodist Senior Services, Reed Greenhouse. where he had resided the last 2 1/2 years. A long time leader in the poultry and catfish industry, Hugh was a long time president of Purnell’s Pride Chicken in Tupelo and Mississippi Catfish Association.
Services celebrating his life will be at 1pm Tuesday August 28, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Tupelo, where he was a long time ruling elder. Visitation will begin at noon in McFadden Hall.
Hugh leaves his children; George, Dan, Kirk, and Lucy, their spouses and children and a host of friends and other family.
