James “Jim” Charles Waddle – Obituary

James “Jim” Charles Waddle, 86, died Monday, August 20, 2018, at his home after an extended illness. He was born January 6, 1932, to Hugh and Maude Rivers Waddle. He was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo. He was a United States Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was retired as a route salesman for Frito-Lay. He then worked in SPD at North Mississippi Medical Center until 1995. He enjoyed working out, reading, watching westerns, and traveling.

Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, August 22, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan; one sister, Dorothy “Dot” McFerrin of Mantachie; two nephews, his care-giver, Randy McFerrin (Colene) of Mantachie, and Glen Waddle of Jackson, MS; three nieces, Carolyn Denham of Jackson, MS, Regina Dickinson (Wayne), and Jennifer McFerrin, both of Mantachie; three grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Waddle; one sister, Judy Farrar; and his parents.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Men’s Sunday School Class at Harrisburg Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p. m. Tuesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harrisburg Baptist Church Grace Ministry, 4675 Cliff Gookin Blvd., Tupelo, MS  38801.
