Andress Lewis “AL” Bush, age 88, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his residence.

AL was a member of North Highlands Church of Christ. He was a great guy, a hard worker, and loved his family very much. He had proudly served his nation in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Fayette Memorial Gardens in Fayette, AL.

He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony “Tony” Lewis Bush; parents, Clarence R. “C.R.” Bush and Lula Singleton Bush; sister, Camilla Bush Scofield; and brothers, Clarence Bush and Elton Bush.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, Elese Williams Bush; children, Duane Bush (wife, Billie) of League City, TX, Jalaine Bush Sims (husband, Jim) of Fayette, AL, Lisa Bush Turner (husband, Tim) of Russellville, AL; grandchildren, Anna Sims Shaw (husband, Justin) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Anthony Turner (wife, Kayla) of Russellville, Erin Elese Sims of Madison, AL, Olivia Turner Wright (husband, Jon) of Madison, AL, Evan Sims of Tuscaloosa, AL; one great-grandchild, Samuel C. Shaw of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; sister, Janie B. Davis; and seven nieces & nephews.

The pallbearers will be Jim Sims, Tim Turner, Anthony Turner, and Evan Sims.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ruby Sheffield, Samantha Pope, and Terra Franks of Amedisys Hospice for your love and care of our family.
