Barbara Ann Wood, 62, went to her heavenly home to join her loved ones Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She was born October 25, 1955 in Red Bay, AL to Melvin Wood and June Davis Wood. She was retired from Lowe’s at Tupelo, MS as District Credit Manager. She had been a loving caregiver to her mother for the last year and a half.
Services will be Friday, August 17, 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Bill Harper, Bro. Robert Wood and Bro. David Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her mother – June Wood, Golden, MS; two sisters – Gail Scott and Cindy Northington (Randy) all of Golden, MS; one brother – AlanWood (Debra) Golden, MS; nieces and nephews – Byron Northington (Erika), Blake Northington (Jessica), Chris Northington (Keshia), Jennifer Smith (Matt), Brooke Parker (Tyler), Steven Wood, Britta Orrick (Jeremy) and Brooke Binning (Bobby) and great-nieces and nephews – Jackson and Madilyn Smith, Riley Beth and Rhett Parker, Amelia Northington, Tallin Triste, Sloane Triste, Bryson Hacker and Austin and Cashton Orrick.
She was preceded in death by her father and a niece, Natasha Harris.
Pallbearers will be Steven Wood, Tyler Parker, Matt Smith, Byron Northington, Blake Northington and Chris Northington.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 16, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
