Meredith Maggie Jorden, 92, of Jasper, originally from Cordova, passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Cordova Health and Rehabilitation in Cordova.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at Dovertown Church of Christ at 12 p.m., with burial following at Mt. Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Cordova.
Mrs. Jorden was preceded in death by her father, Loyd Elisah Pate; mother, Susie Jane Upton Pate; grandparents, John Pate and David Upton; sisters, Dorothy Fleming and Clara Perrin; and brothers, Floyd Summers, Alvin Pate, Larry Dale Pate and O’Neal Pate.
She is survived by daughters, Wanda Jean Hight (Butch), Linda Lue Jorden and Brenda Sue Burkhalter (James); sons, Donadl Ray Jorden (Martha), Thomas Earl Jorden and James Milton Jorden; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-great grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and four step great-great-grandchildren.
