Anna Maria Darty – Obituary

Anna Maria Darty, 82, of Hamilton, passed away on August 4, 2018 in Florence, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 6th from 1 to 2 p.m. with memorial services following immediately after at Calvary Baptist Church, 601 N Main St. Tuscumbia, officiated by Brother Darrell Pace.

Anna, more lovingly known as Nonna to all who knew her, was born in Trieste, Italy, to Umberto and Vittoria Blomgrem on July 16, 1936. She married Herbert L. Darty on October 6, 1954 in Trieste, Italy.

Nonna is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Darty; parents, Umberto and Vittoria Blomgrem; brother, Lussano Antonio and sister, Alberta, as well as two of her precious grandchildren, Selina Darty Godsey and Lance Hunter Milam, whom she loved dearly.

Nonna is survived by her children, Victoria Darty-Mauney, Ginger Estes (Stanley), David Darty, Sandra Miller, Mark Darty (Tina), Sarah McGuire (Mike), Sonia Milam (Tim) and Teresa Alligood (Eric); grandchildren, Brad Estes, Monica Wingo (Phillip), Tara Estes, Amber Tidwell, Joseph Miller (Jessica), Nina Wisdom (Harold), Brooke Barnes (Bear), Eric Alligood (Ashley), Morgan Milam (Chase), Gage Alligood (Leah), Alexis Barnes, AnnaVictoria Alligood and Samuel Darty; great-grandchildren, Dylan Estes, Paxton Burnett, Wyatt Burnett, Grant Wisdom, Emma Knott, Alanna Wingo, Dakota Miller, Lauren Barry, Ava Wisdom, Lilah Miller, Layla Wisdom, Mia Wisdom, Emmalyn Alligood, Madilynn Alligood, Cody Wingo, Greyson Alligood and Oakland Barnes; great-great-grandson to be Bryton Burnett. She leaves behind a host of other relatives both in the States and Trieste, Italy, as well as her dearest friends, whom she loved as her own family, Pam Avery, Ramel Smith, Sara Kerr and Elaine Cook.
