Mrs. Ellen West Barbee
Memorial services for Mrs. Ellen West Barbee, 63 of Falkville, will be announced at a later date.
Mrs. Barbee was born on August 16, 1954 in Jefferson County to the late Willard K. West and Mary Alice Bigbee West and passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at her residence.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Carol West and a infant sister.
Ellen had careers in insurance and banking, but her passion was with her husband and their music ministry, that took them all over the South East. She did this until her health declined and then turned to social media to remain a positive influence to many people; she also was a avid nature lover.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years – Stan Barbee; daughter – Angela (Ryne) Higginbotham; 2 – sons – Patrick (Patty) Etheridge & Nic (Heather) Barbee; 8 – Grandchildren – Blake Higginbotham, Natalie Higginbotham, Dante Higginbotham, Kaden Etheridge, Ashton Etheridge, Hannah Bodine, Katie Bodine & Ella Barbee; a host of family & friends survive; also two special pets – Maxx & Koji.
