FLORENCE-High Tide Adventure celebrated their business with a Shoals Chamber Ribbon Cutting at the Shoals Chamber on Wednesday, August 8.  Friends and family were on hand to help with the celebration.

A congratulatory word to High Tide Adventure from the Shoals Chamber:

“We are proud to have founders Tucker and Bethany Green as members of the Shoals Chamber, and value their work introducing our young people to the great outdoors!”

A little information on High Tide Adventure:

“High Tide Adventure has been in operation since 2015 as a mentoring program to provide opportunities for teens, ages 14-18, to expand their perspective through adventure and service experiences. In response to the recent attention on violence in schools, High Tide is restructuring to provide an alternative to some of the major challenges our youth face today: anxiety, depression, social isolation, bullying, and so much more.

High Tide values access to the outdoors and believes that by encouraging teens to get involved in the natural world, it allows them an opportunity to connect to something positive while also developing a relationship with the environment.

We are turning our focus to creating High Tide clubs/outdoor programs for high schools.
Our goals for the teens involved with these clubs are to build community and culture, raise expectations and standards, and build self-esteem and self-confidence. The clubs will increase the connection between local teens and the outdoors and in turn, promote a positive association with their school. Teens will engage in active learning and stewardship in the natural world that they are surrounded by.

It’s an opportunity for youth to get away from social media and the norms they’re accustomed to, in order to reach their highest point . . . their “High Tide.”

The Shoals Chamber captured the ribbon cutting in photos.  we present them to you here:
