Anthony “Tony” Duane Huey, age 62, resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Maury Regional Transitional Care.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 4 pm at Heritage Funeral Home with Houston Marshall officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 7, 1956 in Maury County, Tony was the son of the late Shelby Huey and the late Hazel Isbell Huey. Tony worked at Peterbilt Trucking Company in Madison Tennessee on the assembly line prior to working for Gibson Guitar Company. Tony was also an avid model car collector and he loved his Harley which he named “Harlena”. Tony also helped his father build and collect grandfather clocks. As well as building guitars, he enjoyed playing guitar and was an avid Elvis fan.
He is survived by his daughters: Miranda (Matthew) Brewington of Cookeville and Tiffany Huey of Columbia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Alton Huey.
