Robert Ervin “Jack” Lott – Obituary

Robert Ervin “Jack” Lott age 98 years and 11 months, passed away Tuesday morning August 7, 2018 at Spire Rehabilitation Center in Jackson.

He was born September 18, 1919 at Finger, TN the son of the late Albert Brent and Emily Jane Deaton Lott. He went to school at Fairview and Finger. He married Mildred Sanders in 1942. They made their home near Finger, where he farmed and worked at livestock sales. He loved to go to the Finger Square dance, work in his garden and loved to fox hunt.

Mr. Lott is survived by his wife, Mildred Sanders Lott of seventy-six years, a son Jerry (Linda) Lott of Selmer; a daughter, Lola (Tommy) Doyle of Bethel Springs; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn, a brother, A. B. Lott (Emogene) of Jackson; six grandchildren, Brandi McAdams, Sandi Burnett, Kristi Davidson, Kevin Lott, Jeremy Doyle and Stuart Doyle, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Paul Lott in 2004; and four brothers, Claude, Willard, Jimmy and Joe Lott.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Stuart Doyle, Stephen Davison and Bob Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Old Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday.
