Funeral service for Mattie Sue St. Antoine, age 82, of Decatur, will be Thursday, August 9, 2018, 3:00 p.m., at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. St. Antoine, who died Monday, August 6, 2018, at her residence, was born November 13, 1935, in Johnson, NC, to Harvey Spencer Freeman and Edith Mae McMurtry Freeman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold St. Antoine, daughter, Lena Ann St. Antoine, and brother, Henry Horton.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Lawson of Lowgap, NC, and Arnold St. Antoine of Somerville, AL; five daughters, Colleen Rohrbaugh of Hudson, FL, Jackie Peebles of Hartselle, AL, Emmaline Sims of Athens, AL, June Helms of Five Points, TN, and Teresa St. Antoine of Somerville, AL; three brothers, Jimmy Horton (Mary) of Eva, AL, G. W. Horton (Lisa) of Hartselle, AL, and Junior Freeman (Alice) of Hickory, NC; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
