Mr. Donald Ray (Bitsy) Carpenter, 65, of Florence, passed away August 5, 2018 at ECM Hospital after a sudden illness. He was a dedicated father and granddaddy as well as a US Army Veteran. He was a Prosthetist/Orthotist for over 30 years.
Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his wife, Maria Carpenter; daughter, Jessica Williams (Rett); sons, Brian and Brandon Carpenter; granddaughter Marley Williams; grandson, Sammy Williams; mother, Glenice Carpenter; sisters, Rita White (Ricky), and Shirlene Kiel; brother, Larry Carpenter (Wanda); sister-in-law, Glenda Carpenter; and countless nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, Lelon Carpenter; brother, Cecil Carpenter; sister, Cheryl Carpenter; and brother-in-law, Donald Kiel.
The family would like to thank Dr. Felix Morris and ICU staff.
