Dorothy Marie Hall Felker, 78, native of Gibson County, Tennessee and resident of Tupelo for over 45 years, won the victory of her faith on Friday, August 3, 2018 at North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo. Dorothy was born December 24, 1939 to the late Robert Hall and Lurlene Vick Hall. Dorothy’s life centered around her family. She was an outstanding daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A housewife, she doted over her family and made sure they knew of her love and concern for them every day. She was an avid conversationalist and never met a stranger. She was a reader of good literature, was known to shop at the drop of a hat and listen to good music. Dorothy was a strong fan of Conway Twitty. She was a longtime member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 6 PM Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with her grandson, Bro. Christopher Payne officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM-service time on Monday only, all at Holland-Tupelo Chapel, which is honored to be serving their friends.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Felker of Tupelo, to whom she married October 23, l973. Her children; Lynne Powell (Sharon of Plantersville, Richard Powell (Michelle) of Baldwyn, Renee Payne and Hope Wilson both of Tupelo. Special loved ones to whom she was instrumental in their lives, Melissa Bryan and Tracy Wheeler and Tena Stallings. Her step children, Jada Smith of Arkansas and Jody Pullen of Charleston, MS., her siblings, Glen Hall of the Chicago area and Helen Brown of Norfolk, VA. Her 13 grandchildren, Tonya, Perry, Chris, Brandy, Reid, Beth, Alex, Claudia, Amy, Casey, Shelby, Randy and Mary. 14 great grandchildren. several nieces and nephews and many friends everywhere. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Rhonda Sanderford, 2 grandchildren, Dewayne Powerll and Sandra Sanderford, three brothers, Robert, Albert and Ray and a sister, Bobbie.
Pallbearers will be Cody Roper, Dalton Kemp, Reid Powell, Alex Wilson, Peyton Wheeler, Shaun Kemp and Matt Bryan.
