Carolyn “Nana” Sue Thomson, age 69 of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at her residence.

Sue was born on January 23, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to Grover and Elise Dale Massey. She married Tony Thomson on May 29, 1970 and they were married for forty-eight years, sharing a home and family together. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother is a perfect way to describe who she was as a person. She lived for her family, and loved caring for them. She always did for others before she did for herself. She loved her Lord, Jesus and worshipped at Allensville Baptist Church.

Sue is survived by her husband: Tony Thomson of Mt. Pleasant; children: Scooter Thomson of Linden and Kristy (Tony) Morales of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Cody (Peyton) Martin, Cory (Shana) Martin, Trent (Kate) Thomson, Clarissa Morales, Brycen Nold, Alex Thomson and Lexi Thomson; great-grandchildren: Gracelyn Thomson, Lucas Thomson, Camden Martin, Cadence Martin and Ayla Sue Martin; siblings: Poppie John (Denise) Massey, Jackie (Cindy) Massey, Shirley (Ricky Lovell) Massey, William (Wanda) Massey and Annie Henson. She was preceded in death by her parents: Grover Massey and Elise Dale Massey; and siblings: Betty Hickman, Pauline Workman, Paul Massey, Buddy Massey, G. C. Massey, and Robert Massey.

Funeral services for Sue will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. David Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Cody Martin, Cory Martin, Trent Thomson, Brycen Nold, Alex Thomson, Tony Morales, and Ronnie Pollock will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be past and current members of Allensville Baptist Church and the staff of Hospice Compassus.
