Eva Aline McDougle – Obituary

Eva Aline McDougle, 98, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at her residence. She was a homemaker, and a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Phil Campbell, Having lived in the area all of her life, she was a leap year baby. She enjoyed quilting and all types of sewing. She loved her church and family as well as giving her homemade crafts and baked goods to all that entered her home.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, August 5, 2018, from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will be the following day, August 6, 2018, beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Officiating will be Jason Swinney and Dale Galloway. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers include Brandon Sparks, Brad Hall, Kevin Faust, Ethan Hall, Todd Frederick, and Matt McDuffa. Honorary bearers will be Jerry, Jack, and James McDuffa.
Survivors include her son, Paul McDougle and wife Faye; daughter, Debbie McDougle Swanson and husband, the late Ken Swanson; and special nieces Nina Nix Frederick and Brenda Nix. Grandchildren include Lisa (Brad) Hall, Tracy (Kevin) Faust,Brandon (Lisa) Sparks;; great grandchildren, Ethan and Eli Hall, Karlee and Cale Faust, and Landen and Brynn Sparks. Other relatives and friends survive her.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Athens Clifton McDougle; parents, Edgar and Linnie Freeman McDuffa; siblings, J.C. McDuffa, Theron McDuffa, and Irene McDuffa Mashburn; and a granddaughter, Brittnay Sparks.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
