Ethel “Faye” Weeks – Obituary

Mrs. Ethel “Faye” Weeks, age 80, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at her residence, following an extended illness.

Faye was born on April 17, 1938, in Lawrence County, to the late Daniel Lindsey Hill and the late Mary Elizabeth Smelser Hill. On July 2, 1955, she married Charles Raymond Weeks they raised a family and served the Lord together until his passing on June 25, 2018, after 63 years of marriage. Faye was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed and was passionate about reading the Bible, cooking for her family and friends, crocheting, singing with her husband; and together they served others. She was full of love, hope and charity. She worshipped the Lord at Gandy Church of Christ.

She will be greatly missed by friends and her loving family, including her children: Charles “Randy” Weeks, Shelia (John) Runnels, Rhonda Caldwell and Thomas
Ringo” Weeks – deceased; grandchildren: Amanda Caldera, Jonathan Runnels, Jessica Sherwood, Andrew Caldwell, Caylee Owens and Daniel Eric Weeks – deceased; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings: Bill Hill, Wallace Hill, Bobby Hill, Gloria Hill – deceased and Jim Hill – deceased.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Gandy Church of Christ with Larry Murdock officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., also at the church.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hanna McGee Belew and Keshia Brown of Avalon Hospice for their loving care. Additionally, they would like to extend special appreciation to Elizabeth Holt and all the caregivers who took care of Faye during her final illness.
