TUPELO, MS – Children and their families are encouraged to come enjoy the Read with a Ranger program at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Parkway Visitor Center in Tupelo, MS. This month’s featured story is “My, Oh My – a Butterfly,” a fun Dr. Seuss book that explores the stages of metamorphosis from an egg to a butterfly. Participants will learn fun facts about butterfly communities found not only along the Natchez Trace Parkway but also in their own backyards.

Read with a Ranger is a 45-minute program that is most appropriate for ages six and under, but all ages are welcome. Participants listen to a story, join in a fun activity, and can go on an easy half-mile hike. Read with a Ranger features a new story on the second Saturday of the month. To confirm the time and program scheduled each month, please check our website calendar at www.nps.gov/natr/planyourvisit/calendar.htm.
