Raymond Edward “Jack” Bryant, age 88, of Florence, passed away August 1, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 10 a.m. until noon at Central Baptist Church in Florence. The funeral will follow at noon with Jim Warren officiating. Burial will be in the Red Bay City Cemetery.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and Sunday school director for many years. He was the owner of Jack’s Sales.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Gail Bryant; father, Verdis Bryant; mother, Lorna Mae Bryant McDaniel; and siblings, Doug McDaniel, Billy McDaniel, Marzine McDaniel and Liz McDaniel.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Jewell Bryant; sons, Gary (Hilda), Stan (Anita) and Steve; daughter, Brenda Bryant; and sisters, Tricia and Patsy McDaniel.
Pallbearers will be Jim Ford, Doug Griffin, Bobby James, Ray McDaniel, Richard Thornton, David Wells and Johnny Benton.
