Jimmie Cecil Reaves 77, of Hazel Green,AL died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama.

Born Saturday, September 14, 1940 in Lincoln, AL, he was the son of Robert Cecil Reaves and Mary Elsie Knotts Reaves.

He lived in the North Alabama area since 1978 coming from Randolph, AL. He was a graduate of Munford High School, an active Freemason, retired from US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 2, retired from Englehard and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sue Reaves; sisters, Myrtice Reaves, Ruth Gentry, and Joyce Fuller; and grandson, Stephen Bower.

He is survived by his Son, Robert Wayne (Teresa) Reaves, Harvest, AL; daughters, Rebecca Ann (Michael) Davis, Birmingham, AL and Mary-Beth Reaves, Ponte Vedra, FL; sisters, Patricia (Ken) Porter, Hoschton, GA; and Barbara Jean (Andy) Myers, McDonough, GA; Brother-in-Law, Bobby John Fuller; Granddaughters, Stephanie (Chris) Benelli, Kristen Reaves, and Jennifer (Rico) Scott; grandson, Corey (Morgan) Davis; great-grandchildren, Kody Reaves, Lena Benelli and Graysen Reaves; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Madison Crossroads Presbyterian Church, Saturday, August 4, 2018 with Rev.Cardelia Howell-Diamond of Christ Presbyterian Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
