Carolyn Sue Rose, 74, of Iuka, MS, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Carol enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She also liked playing cards, Yahtzee, and Bingo. She is survived by her husband, James P. Rose of Iuka; one son, Terry Stanfill (Debbie) of Iuka; three step-children, Tobias Rose, Tula Lee, and Star Pethers, all of Petoskey, MI; one brother, George Curtis Armstrong of Walnut; four sisters, Ann Hershberger of Searcy, AR, Joyce Fitts of Allegan, MI, Alice O’Connor of Holland, MI, and Ruth Quillen of Ball Knob, AR; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Gates Armstrong; and a brother, John Wayne Armstrong. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers include Steve Thomas, Johnny Armstrong, Tom Hershberger, Eric Armstrong, Travis Thomas, and Michael Crabtrey. Todd Williams will serve as honorary pallbearer.
