LAUDERDALE COUNTY-On Monday, July 30 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported an accident that claimed the life of a 15-year-old Rogers High School student.
The accident occurred at around 4PM at the intersection of U.S. 43 and Lauderdale 73.
Colby Thigpen, 15 died from injuries when the Ford Mustang driven by Alexa King, 16, of Muscle Shoals collided with a truck pulling a trailer.
Troopers said Thigpen was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the vehicle was flown from the scene to Huntsville Hospital by Air Evac. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
