Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter Seeking Shelter Volunteers

FLORENCE-Leah Fox, Shelter Director of the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter (FLAS), will conduct an introduction and informational meeting for potential FLAS volunteers. The meeting will be held on Friday, August 17 at 5:30pm in the City Auditorium located at 103 South Pine Street, Florence.

This meeting is for anyone who has volunteered in the past, and/or may be interested in volunteering now or in the future. Ms. Fox will discuss the various ways the public can assist the Shelter by volunteering. Examples of the Volunteer Assignments are dog walking, kennel assistance, cat habitat/kitten room, outreach and events, etc.

If you love puppies, dogs, kittens and cats, the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter can use your help by becoming a volunteer! If you can’t attend the Volunteer Meeting on August 17, and you want to know how to become a volunteer, call Shelter Director, Leah Fox at 256-718-5170.
