Garry Malone, 65, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Elliot Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior at the funeral home.
Mr. Malone was born January 20, 1947, in Lawrence County to Hector and Lucille Malone. He was a member of Mt. Hope Church of Christ where he was a song leader. He was also a member of UAW Union Local 2195. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Shanna Summers (Jimmy); three nephews, Kirk Summers (Tracy), Brad Summers (April) and Jamie Summers (Marsha); two aunts, Katie Matthews and Betty Allen (Henry); four great-nephews; and three great-nieces.
