Charles Edgar Hasting, 87, of Arab, passed away Sunday July 22, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Hasting was born August 27, 1930 in Limestone County to Bruce B. Hasting and Mamie Bates Hasting. He worked for General Motors until he retired. His first wife Katherine Lee Hasting preceded him in death on May 23, 2007. He later married Pearline Vance Hasting; they have been married for 10 years. He enjoyed playing music and singing. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed camping in his younger years.
He was a member of Arab Church of Christ.
Mr. Hasting is survived by his wife Pearline V. Hasting; his son and daughter-in-law: Mike Hasting and Rexanne; his daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia Hasting, Pamela Rondinella and Bruce and Wanda Pate and Brian; a special son and daughter-in-law: Tony Hasting and Marie; his brother: Mahlon Hasting; eleven grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren and a special brother and sister-in-law: Wayne Lee and Linda. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Peggy Burger.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 25, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Ken Tyler and Tony Hasting, officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery located at 523 US Highway 31 South, Athens, Al. 35611
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lee, David Lee, Brian Pate, Mack Lee, Wayne Lee and Scott Steelman.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
