Everlean Scott Coats – Obituary

Everlean Scott Coats, 86, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. She was born September 8, 1931 in Franklin County, AL. She was a homemaker and a member of Burnout Missionary Baptist Church, Vina, AL.

 

Services will be Wednesday, July 25, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Steve Ledbetter and Bro. Bobby Massey officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

 

She is survived by four children – Joyce Cummings (Edward), Sue Raper (Gary) and Ricky Coats (Myra) all of Vina, AL and Bruce Coats (Patsy) Belmont, MS; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and three sisters – Ruby Cantrell, Darcie Lindley and Ann Wilkins.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Coats, her parents, George W. Scott and Lena Howard Scott, one granddaughter, Rita Cummings, one great-granddaughter, Lizabeth Coats, and brothers and sisters, George Junior Scott, Billy Joe Scott, Ratha Scott, Edgie Scott, Idell Pounders, Arbie Scott, Lorene Jones, Leuvenia Bray, Lucille Presley and Melvin Clement.

 

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers – Greg Cummings, Dewayne Raper, Zakary Coats, Chase Coats, Josh Coats and Austin Scott.

 

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
