Virginia Thompson Hailey, age 96 of Brentwood, TN, formerly of Nashville, TN passed away July 21, 2018. Survived by son, Tom (Susan) Hailey; brothers-in-law, Jack (Peggy) Hailey and Edward (Ceacy) Hailey; grandchildren, Ann Bayides and Elizabeth (Michael) Prosser; great grandchildren, Emily and Evan Prosser. Preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, George Hailey; parents, Clarence and Myrtle Wolfe Hailey; sister, Frances Fields and son, Ray Hailey. Before starting a family, she worked for Genesco and later worked part time at Ozburn-Hessey. A life-long member of Glen Leven Presbyterian Church, she was active in the Women of the Church, Circle President and Sunday School teacher. She and George led a life centered around their church, and started each day with a Bible Reading and prayer. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Glen Leven Presbyterian Church, 3906 Franklin Road, Nashville, TN, Rev. Mark S. Bryan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders of Glen Leven Presbyterian Church.
