Sue Elizabeth Smith Simmons was lost to her family on July 2, 2018 in her daughter’s home in Tampa, Florida after a long battle with heart disease. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Edwin R. Simmons, and her parents Walter B. Smith and Sue Horne Smith.
She loved and was loved by her daughter, Dr. Meagan Simmons and her granddaughter, Grayson Smith Steger. She was delighted in playing endless games with her granddaughter, with playing on the swings being a large part of the afternoons. Using the pattern set by her mother, she enjoyed her garden, her needle work, and reading about new places, people, and beautiful things. She filled her home with art and people around her with love. She will be missed by her sister, Sanderlan Clair Smith.
A remembrance gathering will be held on July 21, 2018 at 9:00am in the Smith Family Burial Plot in Maplewood Cemetery, Pulaski, TN.
