A Celebration of Life service for Jean Chandler McMahan is set for Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 1:00pm at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 11:00am until service time at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. McMahan was born March 3, 1938 in Linden, TN. and passed away on July 13, 2018 at Whitfield Nursing Home in Corinth. She was an employee of ITT for 20 years and a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Jean is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane O’Neill and husband Jim of Corinth; son, Ted E. Chandler, Jr. and wife Martha of New Albany, MS; grandchildren, Edward Evans, Masey Arnold, Amy Raton, Robert Evans, Jason O’Neill, Joy Tillery, Spencer Chandler; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Vreeland of Michigan and Martha Westeer of Tennessee; brother Don Smith of Illinois; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Buel McMahan; son, Rob Chandler; daughter, Becky Dobbins and parents, Atlas and Rebecca Henson Smith. Pallbearers will be Edwards Evans, Spencer Chandler, Jason O’Neill, Marty Arnold, Tommy Johnson and Kenneth Newcomb. Bro. Ray Bennett will officiate the service.
