The Thorn family was God gifted with musical talent including playing many instruments and strong, solid voices. Deborah grew up in area Churches of God of Prophecy where her parents were the ministerial team and she developed a love for Church and Church music at a young age. Deborah had a career of over 30 years with the People’s Bank and Trust Company, now Renasant Bank. At the time of her death, she was manager of the collections department. Deborah’s life centered around the Church, Church music, spending time with family and friends and, more recently, playing with her granddaughter, Clovie Louise. She was formerly with the “Heavenly Highways” singing group, always was a part of the Singing Thorn family which included her parents, her identical but one minute older twin sister, Charlotte, her now world famous baby brother, Paul and others. Their particular style of singing is legendary including their ability to play several instruments. Deborah was most proud of her piano skills and a lifetime of being a church pianist. Her home Church was Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy near Mooreville.
