Jeannine R. Mercier
JUNE 19, 1927 ~ JULY 2, 2018 (AGE 91)
JEANNINE R. (nee AUTECHAUD) MERCIER 91, of Decatur died early July 2nd after a long illness. She was born in Bouville, France. As a teen she was a member of the French Resistance from 1940-1945. She work in the dental field as a Dental Assistant and then as a Dental Hygienist for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Jean Pierre Autechaud and Georgette (nee Pierre) Autechaud and her husband Joseph C. Mercier. She is survived by her sons Joseph L. and his wife Maryann of Charlotte, NC, and Michael A. and his wife Deborah of Madison, and daughters Diane M. Wiedmeier of Decatur, and Patricia Heame of Huntsville; and 10 Grandchildren; and 17 Great Grandchildren; and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
A private memorial service followed by interment at Maple Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date.
