Funeral service for Parlee “Pete” Light Bise, 88, of Decatur will be Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with Brother Benny Sivley officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Bise, who died Monday, July 9, 2019 at her residence, was born December 16, 1929 to CP Helms and Bessie Davis Helms. She was a member of Decatur Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, CP Helms and Bessie Davis Helms; husband, Charles Ray Light; sisters, Jean Storey, Velvie Lyles, Gaynell Wade and Eleree Helms; and brother, Willard Helms.
She is survived by her husband, Alex Bise; brother, Dwinnon Helms; sons, Rick Light and Danny Light (Regina); three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
