ZIP CITY – A little bit of rain didn’t stop the intrepid residents of North Lauderdale County from going to the monthly shindig over in Zip City. It’s a charming throwback to those simpler times, when families and friends would meet up and throw horse shoes, eat some BBQ and listen to some music.  The event is held to help raise money for the Zip City Volunteer Fire Department.

And sometimes it would rain. Just like it did Saturday. but that didn’t stop the festivities. No sir-ree! The rain cleared and the band, The Butler Creek Boys, started playing.
