Mrs. Linda Renee Blackwell Royer, 81, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Her visitation will be on Friday, July, 6, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Bro. Justin Roberson and Bro. Tony Woodall officiating. Mrs. Royer is survived by her two sons, James Richard Royer and David Allen Royer (Kristie), and two grandchildren, Hanna and Hunter Royer. She is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Royer; father, Wallace Blackwell; mother, Alma Jean Blackwell, and sister, Monya Henley. Mrs. Royer was born on November 21, 1936. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1955 and retired from Redstone Arsenal. She was a faithful member of Danville Road Church of Christ. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother.
