Ann Hardin Blakley, 83 of Arab, Passed away Wednesday July 4, 2018 at Marshall Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Guntersville.
Mrs. Blakley was born January 3, 1935 in the Grassy Community to Francis Marion Hardin and Addie Lucille Denney Hardin. She was a homemaker and married to O.L. “Bud” Blakley for 66 years. She enjoyed cooking and shopping. She was well known for making her special German Chocolate cake that her family loved so much.
She was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church.
Mrs. Blakley is survived by her husband of 66 years: O.L. “Bud” Blakley; her sons and daughter-in-law: Tommy W. and Annette Blakely and Randy L. Blakely; her grandchildren: Buddy W. Blakely and Karon; Gertie Lamb and Kenny, Keith Tolton and Amy; her great grandchildren: Samantha Blakely, Taylor Blakely, Hunter Blakely , Addy Lamb, Seanna Tolton and Mollie Tolton. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister: Lorenzo G. Hardin and Doris Faye Matthews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday July 6, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Jerry Burgett and Randy Evers, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Blakely, Hunter Blakely, Braxton Lamb, Keith Tolton, Joey Light and Ricky Lang.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday July 5, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice 408 Martling Rd Albertville, AL 35951.
