Tellie Nichols Stone, 90, died Friday, June 29, 2018 at Russellville Health Care, Russellville, AL. She was born April 22, 1928 in Marion County, AL. She had worked in home health and was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Hodges, AL.
Services will be Sunday, July 1, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Loyd Ray Griffus and Bro. Clint Holcombe officiating. Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by eight children – Carolyn Lasher (Douglas), Decatur, AL, Kenneth Stone, Vina, AL, Linda Bostick (Steve) Red Bay, AL, Brenda Davis (James) Huntsville, AL, Ellaween Ables (Jerry) Dennis, MS, Debra Scott (Clifton) Vina, AL, Joan Emerson (Gary) Hamilton, AL and Michael Stone (Angie) Vina, AL; twenty grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carroll Stone, two grandsons, Keith Stone and Lane Emerson and five brothers and sisters.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 1, 12-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL
