William K. Allred age 87 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Mr. Allred was born August 24, 1930 in Cullman County, AL to Roy Wayne Allred and Dell Gamble Allred.
Services will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 12:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Kip McKee officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Allred was a 20 year Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean and Vietnam era. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a longtime member of Salem Springs Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by one son, Michael Dean Allred; one daughter, Katheryn Maria Allred.
Survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy Allred; one daughter, Pat Allred Gates and husband, Randy of Cleveland, TN; one sister, Telulah Thornton and husband, Frank of Hanceville, AL.
Pallbearers will be Julian Hughes, Harold Adams, Jim Clutter, J W Wilson, Johnny Campbell and Randy Davis.
