Paul E. Montgomery, 71, of Decatur passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the funeral home with Bro. Josh Horton officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Providence Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Letson (Jimmy) of Decatur; grandchildren, Michael Montgomery of Athens, Nicholas Alexander, Brandon Alexander, and Bridget Tucker of Decatur; sister, Ruby Mitchell (Rayburn); and brother, Daniel Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Gail Montgomery; his parents, Daniel Irvin and Virgie Mae Parker Montgomery; and brothers, James Montgomery and David Montgomery.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Henderson, Jeff Henderson, Tyler Letson, Chris Ferguson, Lester Brumbelow and Brian Mitchell.
