James Floyd Heatherly – Obituary

James Floyd Heatherly, age 86, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at his residence.

He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Bro. Joe Lenox will officiate the service.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Heatherly; father, Vestor Heatherly; brothers, Morris Heatherly, Troy Heatherly, W.J. Heatherly, J.B. Heatherly; sister, Velma Crosslin; and grandson, Joshua Weatherman.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 33 years, Ann Taylor Heatherly; children, Edith Chaney (husband, Frank), Dale Heatherly (wife, Soukla), Gale Anderson (husband, Rick), Paul Heatherly; grandchildren, Brandy Weatherman (spouse, Stacie), Virginia Weatherman, Rob Heatherly, Jason Heatherly; great-grandchildren, Brandon Colburn, Austin Colburn, Azleigh Belew, Harper Belew, Addison Belew; sisters, Wilma McGee, Frances McGee; brothers, Jimmy Heatherly (wife, Gretchen), Tom Heatherly; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to our special nurse, Ruby Wilson, Tish, Marsha, Sam, and other staff of Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Evans and his staff, and the nurses, doctors, and staff of ECM for all of your love and care towards our family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 12215 US Hwy 43, Russellville, AL 35653.
