Kelly Wayne Sheffield – Obituary

Kelly Wayne Sheffield, 76, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born August 12, 1941, in Itawamba County to Elzie Houston and Cleo Lesley Sheffield. He retired after 34 years of service at Super Sagless and was a Baptist. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his “boys,” Eli and Causey.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. David Perry officiating. Brock Bishop will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of almost 41 years, Ruby Faye Sheffield; two sons, Kell Sheffield (Wendy) of Guntown and Thomas Sheffield of Tupelo; one daughter, Sonya Donald (Bill) of Tupelo; two sisters, Ruth Lemmon and Peggy Lollar (Lindon), both of Mantachie; two grandchildren, Courtney Campbell (Justin) and Causey Sheffield; one great-grandson, Eli Campbell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Bennett, Robert Helms, Mike Lollar, Jerry Sheffield, Jimmy Tabler, and Dannie Waddle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lindon Lollar, Roy Smith, and Terry Walton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, at the funeral home in Mantachie.
