Mr. Harlen Gene Gillum, age 76, resident of Spring Hill, passed away Friday, June 15th at his home.
Mr. Gillum was born on May 12, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA. He was the son of the late Holly and Lillian Wall Gillum and the husband of Doris Conners Gillum. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era and he worked in the grocery business for many years with his last employment being at Wal-Mart in the produce section. He enjoyed playing golf and listening to music, especially Neil Diamond. He had a passion for football with his favorite teams being the Rams, the Chargers and the Raiders.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter: Harlene (Kurt) Labrum of Spring Hill; grandchildren: States Laburm and Stratten Labrum, both of Spring Hill; sister: Kathleen Gazdah.
Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
