Bertie Mae Glidewell, 96, of Burnsville, MS passed away on June 15, 2018 at Tishomingo Community Living Center in Iuka. She was born in Alcorn County on January 5, 1922 to the late Bob and Ruth Calvery . Bertie was employed with the Iuka Shirt Factory for over 30 years and at Carters Fabric Store in Corinth for over 20 years. She was of the Baptist faith and was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Burnsville. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home and from 12 Noon till service time, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church. A celebration of Bertie’s life will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church officiated by Gerald Glidewell and Bro. Tommy Leatherwood. Interment will follow in Temple Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bobby Crabb, Jody Presley, Evan Crabb, Ethan Crabb, Jacob Presley, Joshua Presley, and Asher Crabb. Those left to honor Bertie’s memory include her sons: Gerald Glidewell and wife Barbara and Joe Glidewell and wife Joyce all of Burnsville, MS; her granddaughters: Daphne Crabb and husband Bobby and Sonia Presley and husband Jody; her great grandsons: Evan Crabb and wife Lacey, Ethan Crabb, Jacob Presley, and Joshua Presley; her great great grandchildren: Asher Crabb, Abraham Crabb and Andrew Crabb; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
