Muscle Shoals Amateur Radio Club ARRL Field Day, June 23-24

ARRL Field Day is the most popular event in amateur radio in the United States and Canada, and this event allows amateur radio clubs, such as MSARC, to set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service, not just for our community (the Shoals Area), but to our nation as well. Additionally, this event, which is open to the general public, combines demonstration of public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single venue, while providing club members with fellowship and a chance to test and fine-tune our own skills as well!

The Lauderdale County Commission, at its meeting this past Monday, June 11, issued a resolution declaring June 18-24, 2018 as Amateur Radio Week; the resolution was sponsored by the Florence-Lauderdale Emergency Management Agency, and we are excited to be part of this here in the Shoals area.
