Harold A. Tatum – Obituary

Harold A. Tatum, age 71 passed away Tuesday, June 12th, 2018. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Waynesboro. He worked for Postal Fleet and Beavers Tie and Lumber for 28 years, he was also a coroner and director of ambulance services in the 1970’s. Harold and his wife Betty served as foster parents for many children though out the years He is preceded in death by his parents, Hunter and Jessie Mae Tatum. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Tatum; Son, Dustin Tatum, Waynesboro, TN; Daughters, Sherry Tatum-Sherrill (Dwight); Alisha Tatum-Smith, Aubry Tatum, Waynesboro, TN; Foster Child, Tammy Parker (Carroll), Central Heights, AL; Sisters, Willie Ann Scott (David), Lillian Pigg, Louise Staggs (Ronnie), Dorathy Howell (Steve); Grandchildren, Derrek Sherrill, Hawaii, Daekon Sherrill, Collinwood, TN, Carter and Cayden Smith, Hohenwald, TN; Foster Grandchildren, Harlie and Michael Parker, Central Heights, AL. The family will be receiving guests at their home at 751 Waynesboro Hwy for visitation on Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 14th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at North Highland Cemetery. Brother Gary Rich will be officiating.
