Born on November 11, 1943 in Elkton, Tennessee, Ginger was the daughter of the late Eugene Elias Rogers and the late Martha Ruth Abernathy Rogers. She attended Hampshire Unit School and worked as an encapsulator at Teledyne Electronic Company in Lewisburg. Ginger married James “Jimmy” Sanders on October 9, 1981 and together they enjoyed going camping.  She was a member of The Pentecostal Church of Christ where she loved singing in the choir.  Even when she was unable to stand and sing, they made sure she had a microphone at her seat. Ginger was an excellent cook who made the best chicken and dumplings and chocolate pie. Her life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her “Granny” and “Nanny.” She was her daughters’ best friend, and her husband will always remember her beautiful smile. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Jimmy of thirty-seven years, she is survived by her children: Lissa (Lewis) Osborne of Culleoka, Linda Gibson of Culleoka, Andy (Terry) Sanders of Columbia, Dana Jenkins of Thompsons Station; brothers: John (Melba) Rogers of Columbia, Ronald (Sonya) Rogers of Columbia; sisters: Bonnie (Terry) Lester of Culleoka, Barbara (Jimmy) Roland of Columbia, Betty (Layne) McClendon of Sandy Hook; grandchildren: Cody (Brittany) Gibson of Culleoka, Jerad Osborne of Culleoka, Jessica (Jack) Sowell of Culleoka, Jimmy (Emily) Sanders of Santa Fe, Robbie (Amanda) Sanders of Columbia, Kayla (Markus) Shepard of Missouri, Zachary Lemire of Columbia, Justin Jenkins of Hermitage, Joe Marlin of Thompsons Station; great grandchildren: Trenton Gibson, Mckenzie Gibson, Levi Osborne, Taylor Osborne, Lakelyn Sanders, Landon Sanders, and Lynley Shepard; and her beloved pet: Molly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Shane Sanders; brothers: William “Bud” Eugene Rogers, Andrew Rogers; and sister: Dorothy Headen.

Pallbearers will be: James “Jimmy” Sanders, Jerad Osborne, Cody Gibson, Robbie Sanders, Justin Jenkins, Jack Sowell, and Zach Lemire.
