Eulys Odene Bullock – Obituary

Eulys Odene Bullock, 84, well known resident of the Pine Grove Community and lifelong Tippah Countian, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Monday June 11, 2018 at Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley.
Funeral Services, with Military Honors, will be at 2 PM Wednesday June 13 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with his long time friend and pastor, Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Personal remarks will be given by family friend, Bro. Paul Adams of the Pine Grove Community.
Born February 4, 1934 in Tippah County, he was the son of the late Soloman and Dorthy Hughey Bullock. Mr. Bullock was a graduate of Pine Grove High School where he played basketball and continued his education at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army both overseas and Hawaii during the Korean Conflict period.
He was the husband of the former Georgia Wilena “Lena” Reese , his beloved wife, who preceded him in death on June 24, 2011. Mr. and Mrs. Bullock enjoyed traveling to various favorite locations as long as health permitted.
Mr. Bullock was employed by manufacturing companies in North Mississippi that included Master-Steel and Heartland Industries. He was a Christian and member of New Harmony Methodist Church in Tippah County.
Mr. Bullock will be remembered by many as an Auctioneer in earlier years. An avid outdoorsman his pleasures included fishing, camping and caring for his vegetable garden.
Visitation will continue Wednesday from 12 Noon until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Those left to honor his memory include his son, Jimmy Bullock of Dry Creek, three granddaughters, Chasity Street (Chris) and Ashley Britt (Justin), both of Ripley and Jennifer Johnson (Tim) of Dumas, seven great grandchildren, Drew and Cole Street, Haley, Kelsey , Cooper Vick, Jack and Caroline Britt, sister in law, Charlene Reese and a brother in law, Joe Curtis Rees.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Bullock Meeks who died May 9, 2018, a brother, Don Bullock and a granddaughter, Anna Claire Street.
